CRP and metabolic syndrome: UACR [208 (45–533) vs. 398 (113–1557) mg/g Cr] and hs-CRP [0.05 (0.02–0.18) vs. 0.12 (0.04–0.34) mg/dL] were higher, while eGFR (53.7 ± 30.9 vs. 43.8 ± 27.3 mL/min/1.73 m2) and adiponectin level [12.5 (7.1–19.6) vs. 8.6 (5.3–14.9) μg/mL] were significantly lower in the metabolic syndrome group compared to the non-metabolic syndrome group.
