To date, several NK-92-based cell lines have been engineered that express a number of different CARs including CD138 or CS1 (anti-multiple myeloma), human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) for solid tumors, CD20, CD19 for B cell leukemias, wild-type EGFR and mutant form EGFRvIII for breast cancer patients with brain metastasis, glioblastoma, and ganglioside protein D2 (GD2) for neuroectodermal tumors (3, 94–104). The gene discussed is ERBB2; the disease is plasma cell myeloma.
