Overall, MDM2 SNP285 polymorphism was significantly associated with a decreased overall cancer risk with the heterozygous model (OR = 0.89, 95% CI = 0.79–0.99), and reduced ORs were observed with other genetic models (dominant: OR = 0.90, 95% CI = 0.79–1.01 and allele comparison: OR = 0.91, 95% CI = 0.80–1.03) but not reaching statistical significance.
