By generating a series of dox inducible constructs expressing the MYC, MYCN and MYCL isoforms in both MCC cells and IMR90 lines, we found that MYC and MYCN could robustly affect the expression of MCT1 and the critical glycolysis enzyme HK2 (Figs 5A and 6B). The gene discussed is MYC; the disease is Merkel cell skin cancer.
