LMO2 and cancer: Herein our findings show that LMO2 directly blocks the LIMK1-mediated phosphorylation of cofilin1, suggesting that cytoplasmic LMO2 level could be an additional determinant for the phosphorylation level of cofilin1 in cancer cells, and loss of cofilin1 phosphorylation in various cancers could be the driven event to promote tumor cell invasion and metastasis.
