PIK3CA and non-small cell lung carcinoma: These findings are noteworthy, as they shed light on the role exerted by miRNAs in aberrant PI3K signaling in NSCLC and, at the same time, provide experimental evidence that miR-196a can stimulate anchorage-dependent and -independent proliferation and migration in NSCLC cells downstream PI3K, thus ameliorating the comprehension of the pathogenesis of this neoplasia.
