In this study, our data showed that Ad-TRAIL-CD40L/E1-CTL inhibited pancreatic cancer cell growth and angiogenesis in vitro and in vivo, and induced higher level of IFN-γ secretion in CTL, however had no side effects on normal cells, which suggest that using targeted adenoviral particles delivered by cytotoxic T cells is a promising therapeutic approach for cancer. The gene discussed is TNFSF10; the disease is familial pancreatic carcinoma.
