For the levels of reduced HSA, the optimum cutoff values used to distinguish chronic hepatitis patients from healthy controls was 3.11 g/dl (AUROC curve 0.903; P < 0.001, sensitivity 75%, specificity 100%), and 2.67 g/dl (AUROC curve 0.931; P < 0.001, sensitivity 93%, specificity 85%) for separating cirrhosis from chronic hepatitis.
