The optimum cutoff values for the levels of reduced HSA to distinguish CP-A cirrhosis from chronic hepatitis, CP-B cirrhosis from CP-A cirrhosis, and CP-B cirrhosis from CP-C cirrhosis were 2.65 g/dl (AUROC curve 0.813; P < 0.001, sensitivity 77%, specificity 90%), 2.11 g/dl (AUROC curve 0.837; P < 0.001, sensitivity 78%, specificity 70%), and 1.71 g/dl (AUROC curve 0.740; P < 0.001, sensitivity 63%, specificity 73%) respectively (Table S2). The gene discussed is ALB; the disease is chronic hepatitis.
