KLRC2 and cytomegalovirus infection: Although it is well established that aging and CMV infection are associated with changes in NK cells, including alterations in the expression of activating (e.g., NCRs, NKG2C, and DNAM-1) and inhibitory receptors (e.g., KIR and NKG2A), little is known on the effect of aging and CMV on the expression of other inhibitory receptors such as CD300a and CD161 in NK cell subpopulations.
