Recently, several SNPs in a Tumor necrosis factor superfamily-4 (TNFSF4) have been shown to be shared risk factors for several immune-related diseases, including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), primary Sjögren’s syndrome (SS) and systemic sclerosis (SS)14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22. The gene discussed is TNFSF4; the disease is systemic lupus erythematosus.
