After adjusting for age, gender, BMI, hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, current smoking status and hs-CRP, only Hcy >19.3μmol/L remained as an indicator of asymptomatic CAS (multivariate-adjusted OR 1.53, 95%CI 1.05–2.23; p-value for trend = 0.0265). Here, CRP is linked to hypertensive disorder.
