Here the level of NF-κB and expressions of its downstream proteins induced by radiation in Huh7/NF-κB-tk-luc2/rfp cells were shown to be suppressed by transfected with the IκBαM vector and resulted in higher radiation cytotoxicity, suggesting that inhibition of NF-κB could enhance the radiosensitivity of Huh7, a human HCC cell line (Figure 1). The gene discussed is NFKB1; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
