Thus, this study has the following objectives: (1) to determine the role of CD147 in autophagy and autophagic death of ovarian cancer cells; (2) to clarify whether a fucosylated Lewis y antigen on the CD147 molecule affects the ability of CD147 to regulate autophagy in ovarian cancer cells; (3) to explore the mechanism by which Lewis y antigen can regulate CD147 and thus the autophagy of ovarian cancer cells; and (4) to analyze whether the involvement of Lewis y antigen in regulating the autophagy of ovarian cancer cells is related to the UPS. This evidence concerns the gene BSG and ovarian carcinoma.
