A marked reduction in immunoreactive CD34-stained vessels was observed in tumor tissue sections from mice treated with AAV-Ang-(1-7) (3.5 ± 1.5 vessels/field) when compared with mice treated with AAV-eGFP (15 ± 5 vessels/field) or PBS (13 ± 3 vessels/field; Figure 8B), suggesting that Ang-(1-7) significantly attenuates tumor vascularization in xenograft lung tumors. This evidence concerns the gene CD34 and neoplasm.
