Subgroup analysis of different tumor types (Table 3) showed that reduced PDCD4 expression had an unfavorable impact on the OS of patients with head and neck cancers (HR: 3.24, 95% CI 1.93–5.45) [18, 24, 29], breast cancers (HR: 1.86, 95% CI 1.36–2.54) [30], digestive system cancers (HR: 2.12, 95% CI 1.75–2.56) [7, 15, 28, 31, 32], and urinary system cancers (HR: 3.16, 95% CI 1.06–9.41) [17]. This evidence concerns the gene PDCD4 and malignant urinary system neoplasm.
