Previous studies have reported that the compound isochaihulactone (K8), isolated from the crude acetone extract of B. scorzonerifolium, causes cell cycle arrest at G2/M phase in lung adenocarcinoma A549 cells, and activates non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug-activated gene (NAG-1) expression, thereby triggering A549 cell apoptosis [15]. This evidence concerns the gene GDF15 and lung adenocarcinoma.
