It is interesting to revisit that the degree of toxicity from EGFR and VEGF targeted drugs has been positively correlated with their efficacy among patients with solid tumors including colorectal, lung, renal cell carcinoma, and head and neck; so one could hypothesize a possible correlation between the presence of immune-related AEs and increased efficacy of PD-1 inhibitors. Here, EGFR is linked to hereditary clear cell renal cell carcinoma.
