They revealed that intraperitoneal imatinib injection (100 mg/kg/day) for 5 days in an oxygen induced retinopathy (OIR) model of mice significantly reduced revascularization of avascular areas and effectively inhibited the formation of neovascular tufts by targeting neuropilin 1-dependent ABL1 activation in endothelial cells. Here, NRP1 is linked to retinal disorder.
