The extended network (indirect protein–protein interactions) showed that those proteins were connected in four clusters according to their involvement in the biological process (autoimmune disease), situating STAT1 (signal transducers and activators of transcription), FLT1 (vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1), and TRAF6 (TNF receptor associated factor) as nodes of the extended net linking the different groups (Fig. 6b). Here, TRAF6 is linked to autoimmune disease.
