Furthermore, venetoclax, a BCL2-specific inhibitor, is unable to reproduce the effects of navitoclax (BCL2/BCLXLi) (Figure 9D), suggesting that in agreement with the reported findings in lung cancer (Corcoran et al., 2013), it is BCLXL that protects against apoptosis upon targeted inhibition of a mutant RAS pathway in CRC organoids (Figure 9D).
