The following variables were significantly associated with hospital mortality in univariate analysis: metastatic disease, cancer phase at ICU admission, cancer status, causes of admissions, FiO2, SAPS II and SOFA scores, lactate, GOT, GPT, and CRP levels; in addition to those, we added in the multivariate model, the variables with a p-value <0.2: SpO2, PAL hemoglobin level, lymphocytes count, and ICU limitations <24 h. Here, CRP is linked to metastatic neoplasm.
