CRP and metastatic neoplasm: The following variables were significantly associated with survival in univariate analyses: metastatic disease, cancer phase at ICU admission, cancer status, GOT, PAL, hemoglobin and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) levels, SAPSII and Charlson scores, ICU life support limitations <24 h; in addition to those, we added in the multivariate model the variables with a p-value <0.2: Fi O2, GPT, and CRP levels, SOFA score, lymphocytes count.
