IL6 and isolated hemihyperplasia: Plasma levels of IL-6, a marker of inflammation, were significantly increased in IH and IADB groups (57.4 ± 2.6, 78.5 ± 2.8 pg/mL) when compared to IA group (36.5 ± 3.6 pg/mL, p < 0.05), with levels in IHDB group (83.5 ± 3.1 pg/mL) being greater than in IH and IA (p < 0.05) groups but not different from IADB group (p = NS) (Figure 3(b)).
