Associations between diabetes and MD were slightly enhanced when limiting analyses to women with diabetes onset after age 30 (0.55; 0.35–0.87), mostly for women controlling diabetes by diet only (0.36; 0.15–0.86), while they remained unchanged for women taking oral antidiabetic agents (0.59; 0.31–1.13), and were slightly reduced for women taking insulin (2.01; 0.55–7.44), but there was no statically significant difference with estimates for all diabetes, regardless of age at onset (Table 3).
