In this paper, it is shown that the nutritional status of female garment workers in Cambodia might be of concern, with underweight (BMI < 18.5 kg/m2), anemia (Hb < 12.0 g/dL) and iron deficiency (serum FER < 15 μg/L) being prevalent among study participants. This evidence concerns the gene GSTM1 and anemia (phenotype).
