On the other hand, by RT-qPCR or microarray reanalysis, DOCK9 (13–82%) and EPHA4 (24–75%) usually showed poor-to-moderate sensitivities but, interestingly, they exhibited a dichotomous median expression profile among the different TB groups in comparison to the respective control: down-modulation in populations from the UK and South Africa (Figure 4), but the contrary among Brazilians (Figures 2B,C) and Germans (Figure 4C). This evidence concerns the gene EPHA4 and tuberculosis.
