Various molecules have been investigated as markers for CTCL, ranging from those involved in general cellular signaling processes, regulation of cellular proliferation, and apoptosis (Jun, Myc, c-myb, p53, STATs, bcl-2, Fas/CD95, and SOCS-3) to those contributing to disease immunopathology like the inhibitory MHC receptors (ILT2/CD85j), NK receptors (p140/KIR3DL2), and dendritic cell defects (CD40). Here, KIR3DL2 is linked to primary cutaneous T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
