To determine whether all these mechanisms exist in prostate cancer cells, we examined the levels of phosphorylated (p)-P70S6 Kinase (P70S6K) and HIF-1α in PC-3 and DU145 cells (Figure 2A; Supplementary Figure S2A) treated for 24 h with 5 nM docetaxel and 100 nM RAD001. This evidence concerns the gene RPS6KB1 and prostate cancer.
