In this context, TLR4 expression was decreased by L. reuteri in the intestine of rats with NEC [49], by L. rhamnosus and Lactobacillus acidophilus in mice with alcoholic liver disease [50], and also by LGG and other Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium in the colon of rats with colitis [48,51]. Here, TLR4 is linked to alcoholic liver diseases.
