The impact of a necrosis-like death pathway has been described in breast cancer cells [9], thus adding a new entry in the complex scenario of HMA response by cancer cells; this pathway was found to be independent of RIPK3 and MLKL expression level [9], while our data support their active role; these discrepant results can be explained by the different biological material used. Here, RIPK3 is linked to breast carcinoma.
