In conclusion, our findings have revealed that miR-21 and miR-155 promote the development of NSCLC by downregulating SOCS1, SOCS6, and PTEN. How miR-21 and miR-155 regulate the expression of other target genes in the progression of NSCLC or in a broad scope of cancers remains to be investigated in the near future. This evidence concerns the gene SOCS6 and cancer.
