Though the most prominent and consistent findings emerging from our analysis delineate network submodules implicated in cancer pathogenesis, the expression signatures that emerged also included a large collection of genes implicated in other diseases, including myocardial and cerebral ischemic injury, sudden cardiac death, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, particularly STAT1 [42–44], FZD2 [45, 46], GCLM [47], CD63 [48], and SP4 [49]. The gene discussed is FZD2; the disease is cancer.
