CXCL10 and diabetic cardiomyopathy: Recently, Di Luigi et al. [100] reported that the phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor sildenafil decreased elevated circulating CXCL10 levels in subjects with diabetic cardiomyopathy, suggesting that sildenafil could be used pharmacologically to mitigate CXCL10-associated inflammation in diabetic cardiomyopathy.
