As described in Table 2, after dichotomizing DDR2 immunoactivity into low and high levels, increased expression in UC of the upper urinary tract and urinary bladder was significantly linked to several clinicopathologic parameters, including an advanced pT status (Figure 4, UTUC and UBUC, P < 0.001), high grade histological patterns (UTUC, P = 0.041; UBUC, P < 0.001), vascular invasion (UTUC and UBUC,P < 0.001), and higher mitotic rate (UTUC, P = 0.039; UBUC, P < 0.001). This evidence concerns the gene DDR2 and renal pelvis/ureter urothelial carcinoma.
