We have showed that both Lin28A and Lin28B promotes the proliferation of colon cancer cells, however, the mechanism of Lin28A and Lin28B facilitating cell proliferation is different, Lin28A contributes to the transition of cell cycle from S phase to G2/M phase, whereas Lin28B facilitates the transition of cell cycle from both G1 phase to S phase and S phase to G2/M phase. This evidence concerns the gene LIN28A and malignant colon neoplasm.
