Western blotting analysis showed that the levels of AKT phosphorylation at its T308 and S473 residues (pAKTT308, pAKTS473), reflecting its activity [32], were higher in 3 of 4 osteosarcoma cell lines with low pGSK-3βS9 (as shown in Figure 1) than hFOB1.19 osteoblast cells (Supplementary Figure S6A). This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and osteosarcoma.
