In contrast, but consistent with the results for C57BL/6J mice (Fig. 1c), NLRP12-deficient mice were highly susceptible to i.n. infection with F. tularensis LVS with >75% of NLRP12-deficient mice succumbing to infection by day 12 post infection (Fig. 5a). The gene discussed is NLRP12; the disease is infection.
