Although the p-NF-κB levels in LPS treated and shHmgb1 + LPS treated A375 and SK-28 cells were significantly increased (p<0.001) compared to cells in the control (BC and NC) cells, no significance in p-NF-κB levels was observed between cells treated with shHmgb1 + LPS and LPS alone (p>0.05), suggesting that both the Hmgb1 and LPS can activate NF-κB (Figure 7A, 7B).
