In the dataset GSE21034, we also found that ERRα mRNA was significantly higher in primary cancerous prostate lesions from CRPC who developed bone metastatic lesions (n = 5) compared to patients with had developed other types of metastases (brain, lung, bladder, colon or lymph nodes) (n = 41) (P < 0.05; Figure 1B) suggesting that ERRα is associated with advanced prostate cancer and bone metastases. This evidence concerns the gene ESRRA and prostate cancer.
