KIF2A and intraepithelial neoplasia: Overall, only a small proportion of chronic gastritis (27.78%, 5/18) and tumor adjacent tissues (29.23%, 19/65) displayed high KIF2A expression, whereas high expression of this protein was detected in 43.24% (16/37) of low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia, 59.68% (37/62) of high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia, 73.33% (11/15) of intestinal metaplasia, and 64.86% (299/461) of GCs (p < 0.001) (Table 1).
