High MUC1-TM expression was observed in pancreatic cancer tissues, accompanied by a loss of MUC1-ARF expression [compare expression of MUC1-TM and MUC1-ARF in normal pancreatic tissue (Fig 9C, left and right panels respectively), to that seen in pancreatic cancer tissue (Fig 9D, left and right panels respectively)]. The gene discussed is CDKN2A; the disease is pancreatic neoplasm.
