LV GPC6 expression levels correlated positively with degree of LV remodeling (vs. LV weight R2 = 0.20, vs. ACTA1 expression R2 = 0.16; Fig 1I and 1J) and congestive heart failure (vs. lung weight R2 = 0.17, vs. NPPA expression R2 = 0.22; Fig 1K and 1L), suggesting that increased GPC6 levels were associated with increased disease severity. This evidence concerns the gene GPC6 and congestive heart failure.
