It is known that FN1 contributes to tumorigenesis by promoting the growth and migration of tumor cells, as well as by enhancing resistance to therapy.28, 29 Up-regulated FN1 correlates with the epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) and contributes to tumor cell metastasis; therefore, it may be used as a potential diagnostic marker and therapeutic target of NPC.30 The gene discussed is FN1; the disease is nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
