C-reactive protein CRP is an amply studied acute phase inflammatory mediator of cardiovascular diseases(7) and is considered an unspecific marker of systemic inflammation.(8) High-sensitivity CRP (hs-CRP) has prognostic value for ischemic cardiopathy and H F.(9,10) High levels of hs-CRP in patients with HF are associated with increased morbidity and mortality in cases of ischemic and non-ischemic etiology.(11). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and cardiovascular disorder.
