KEAP1 and pancreatic neoplasm: The existence of this direct binding of esculetin to KEAP1, involving the same residues of KEAP1 as involved in its interaction with Nrf2, along with observed loss of Nrf2-KEAP1 interaction in pancreatic cancer cells upon esculetin treatment stipulates that esculetin perturbs the binding between Nrf2 and KEAP1.
