The highest activation of caspase-3 (DEVD-ase activity), which was 21.000 RFU, was achieved when treating cancer cells with 10 mg/mL concentration (N = 3 parallels and repeats, p < 0.0001) for 3 h, while 0.01 mg/mL concentration (N = 3 parallels and repeats) produced only weak activation (5.000 RFU; p < 0.0001) of the enzyme in the same time span (Fig. 3c).
