In a meta-analysis and dose–response of sixty-one controlled intervention trials, which ranged in duration from 3 to 26 weeks, the consumption of nuts was associated with significant reductions in TC, LDL-C, apoB and TAG, with greater effects observed with a nut intake of 60 g/d and in individuals with T2DM(29). Here, APOB is linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
