This model is obtained by injection of human breast cancer cells including estrogen‐negative (MDA‐MB‐231) and estrogen‐positive (MCF7) breast carcinoma cell lines or mouse breast cancer cells including EpH4 mammary epithelial cells or mitogen‐activated protein kinase (MEK)‐transformed EpH4 cells subcutaneously, intravenously, intracardially, or orthotopically, four times every 5 days, into the mammary fat pad of immunocompromised mice 79, 80. This evidence concerns the gene MAP2K7 and breast cancer.
