A stable silencing of glycerophosphodiester phosphodiesterase domain containing 5 (GDPD5), which is upregulated in TNBC cells and tumors, induced an increase in the levels of GPCho and phosphoethanolamine in MDA-MB-231 BC cells and in their orthotopic tumor xenografts compared with controls (58, 59) suggesting a close networking between choline and ethanolamine phospholipid cycles. This evidence concerns the gene GDPD5 and breast cancer.
