This was also true in human breast cancers at both an mRNA and protein level; CASR gene expression correlated directly with PTHLH gene expression in a gene array study of 204 human breast tumors (Mu et al., 2012; Kim et al., 2016) and CaSR and PTHrP protein expression showed a positive correlation in the YTMA49 tissue array of 652 breast tumors discussed previously (Camp et al., 2002; VanHouten et al., 2010; Kim et al., 2016).
