The two largest clusters (indicated in black and red in Fig. 5b and Supplementary Fig. 5f) observed in subset #2 had very similar expression patterns, with C5orf63 being the only overexpressed gene unique for the major cluster (black) while the other cluster (red) exhibited dysregulation in expression of genes like CAMK1 and GLIPR1, connected to renewal of leukaemic stem cells and tumour progression29, 30 (Fig. 5b, Supplementary Fig. 5f). The gene discussed is GLIPR1; the disease is neoplasm.
